
Now for people who did not know this is actually the sequel after, “The Legend of Zelda, the Ocarinia of Time”. To defeat the Skull Kid, Link has to live the same three days over and over again in emuparadise. By the third and final day, the music is so dark, a feeling of dread washes over you. This is compounded by music that gets darker and darker each passing day. As you play through the game, you can't help but feel a sense of foreboding, as if something terrible will happen.

This game is definitely darker than any other Zelda title. Once you've gathered all the masks, you get the fierce deity mask, transforming you into a demigod with massive power and the ability to shoot lasers from your sword, similar to older Zelda titles. The bunny ears increase your run speed dramatically, the bomb mask creates an explosion, and the stone mask basically makes you invisible to most enemies! Each mask has it's own side quest, which can take anywhere between 5 minutes to a couple hours to complete.

To put it into perspective, there are more masks then there are regular items, and each one has a different effect. While there are only 4 dungeons compared to Ocarina's 9, there are infinitely more side quests, mainly based around masks. It is revealed to you that Majora's mask has mysterious, dark power, and the world will end with the moon crashing down onto it if you don't do something, quick! Fortunately, your trusty ocarina has the power to turn back time and give yourself another 3 days.Īnyway, if you remember Ocarina of Time, there are only a handful of sidequests, and the main focus was put into the main quest. You have 3 days to complete a series of quests to turn yourself into normal Link. A skull kid wearing a mysterious mask, later revealed to be Majora's mask, steals the Ocarina of Time and turns you into a Deku Scrub!

They knock you off your horse and you pass out. 2 fairies, similar to Navi, come and start bothering you. The story begins as you ride on epona through an unnamed forest as a kid. Out of any n64 game ever released, this probably has the most content, thanks to the expansion pack.
